We started as a court reporting firm and soon realized there was a need for transcription. Technology has taken court reporting to new heights. Thirty years ago we were typing transcripts on a typewriter using carbon paper to make the copies we needed. It was tedious and very time consuming. With the latest in CAT systems and voice technology, we are able to produce transcripts in a fraction of the time it used to take. What used to take weeks to complete is now completed in a matter of hours.
Through the use of specialized software we can now condense transcripts with four, six, or eight pages to a page. It saves paper and turns a 200 page transcript into 50 pages. PDF formatting allows us to incorporate the e-tran, keyword indexing and exhibits into one complete document, and electronic transmission gets the transcript to our clients in a matter of seconds.
When clients needed audio transcription it was cumbersome to receive it using tapes or CD's. It was not very secure to send sensitive information through the mail. We now have the capability to receive audio and send transcripts over a secure SSL site from anywhere. It saves time and it's safe, convenient, fast, and very affordable.
